Getting ELogs Into Your Company

The ELD vendor can set the table for a successful rollout, but this is your investment. It’s up to you to ensure the rollout is successful.  You need to have a system of applying accountability within your organization and to your ELog vendor. Handing a driver a tablet and a 1-800 number isn’t going to cut it. You need people within your organization to fully understand how the ELog system works who are committed to a successful ELog rollout.

Some drivers are convinced that ELogs will ruin their lives, so be ready to address their concerns and let them know that you are looking out for their best interest. Give them steps on how to address questions and troubleshooting.  Make sure they understand that simply ‘not using’ the ELog system is not an option.
